
Fans of Supacell, get ready Netflix has confirmed that the hit sci-fi series will return for a second season. After making waves with its July 2024 debut, the show quickly became a standout hit, earning praise for its fresh take on the superhero genre and its authentic South London energy.
Created and directed by Rapman (Andrew Onwubolu), Supacell follows five Black South Londoners who suddenly develop superpowers but with no explanation and no connection between them, things quickly spiral. As they try to make sense of their new abilities, they discover they’re part of something much bigger… and far more dangerous.
The show blends supernatural twists with real-world issues, grounding its powers and plot in everyday struggles family, love, survival, and community.
The cast includes a powerhouse of talent with Adelayo Adedayo, Tosin Cole, Michael Salami, Rayxia Ojo, Josh Tedeku, Calvin Demba, Eddie Marsan, Ky-mani Carty, Nadine Mills, and Eric Kofi-Abrefa many of whom have become fast fan favorites.
