Nollywood director Moshood Abiola, best known for his AMVCA-nominated film Agemo, is making a bold return, this time with a reality game show titled The Godfather.

Described as an unconventional addition to Nigeria’s entertainment landscape, the upcoming series promises unfiltered revelations, challenging questions, and raw drama with no script and no filters.

The show will star Nigerian singer Seun Kuti, who is joined by Moet Abebe, Chef Yetunde Kuti, Nwaokolo Adaeze, The African Yarrow, and more. While full details of the show remain under wraps, Abiola has teased that The Godfather will dive deep into personal truths, controversial pasts, and the kinds of topics most stars avoid.

“They’ve faced cameras, critics, and controversy, but they’ve never faced this,” Abiola wrote in a teaser post. “Just raw truths, messy pasts, and the questions they pray never come up. And the invites? Let’s just say no one dares say ‘no’ to The Godfather.”
The Godfather is being positioned as a high-stakes, celebrity game show that blurs the lines between reality TV and investigative storytelling. According to Abiola, the aim is to challenge Nigeria’s media personalities to answer skin-deep questions without the safety net of PR teams or curated scripts.
The show is expected to premiere soon. For now, fans are left waiting and wondering what happens when no one is safe?
