The upcoming Nigerian series The Covenant is scheduled to begin streaming on Netflix on 12 December. Created by Vincent Okonkwo, the production is currently being filmed across locations in Southern Nigeria and is positioned as one of VSL Media’s most ambitious action projects to date.

The series brings together a large ensemble cast, including Sola Sobowale, Segun Arinze, Bimbo Manuel, Tope Olowoniyan, Zubby Michael, Uzee Usman, Gideon Okeke, Chioma Okafor, Walter Anga, Joseph Momodu, Chinonso Arubayi, Ivie Okujaye, Bobby Ekpe and others. The project also features cinematography by South African director of photography Peter Moloto, known for his experience in action framing and high-intensity visual work.

The Covenant adds to VSL Media’s growing catalogue of feature and series titles, following previous releases such as Ponzi, Wildflower, and Passport. The series is directed by Dimeji Ajibola and distributed by FilmOne Studios’ distribution arm.
With production still underway, The Covenant is positioned to be a notable addition to Nigeria’s expanding slate of locally produced action content on global streaming platforms.
